TRINITI represented an Israeli family seeking to reinstate the citizenship of the Republic of Lithuania

TRINITI represented a family of nine Israeli citizens seeking to reinstate the citizenship of the Republic of Lithuania. A citizenship of Lithuania may be reinstated for a person, if such a person was a citizen of Lithuania prior to 15 June 1940. In addition, a citizenship of Lithuania may be reinstated for descendants of persons who were citizens of Lithuania prior to 15 June 1940. This provision is applicable to three generations of descendants, i.e. to children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to the aforementioned Israeli citizens, thanks to TRINITI, two more TRINITI clients became citizens of the Republic of Lithuania.

One of them was a descendant of a person who had citizenship of the Republic of Lithuania until 15 June 1940.

The other person regained the citizenship of the Republic of Lithuania after almost 10 years, as he had lost the former citizenship of the Republic of Lithuania after he had left abroad and accepted the citizenship of another country.
